My Pitfalls

Pitfalls are only stepping stones. They are not failures. If you look at them as opportunities, you'll realize that as one door closes another one soon opens. I have had many struggles throughout my college career, and one being work-life balance. During my junior year, I quickly realized that I could not be involved with all my clubs and organizations, while balancing school full-time as well as a busy work schedule. Unfortunately, I cut many organizations including SDSU Ambassadors and the SDSU Honors Program. These were two of the clubs I valued most, but at the time, my studies and work came first. Though letting go of some things that I truly worked hard for was hard, I found that I had much more time to focus on me. I feared how others would think of me and how disappointed I would be in myself.

REFLECTION
Like everything in life, there is a struggle to maintain a healthy work-life balance. The importance is not to try and do everything, but to continue with those things that are most important to you and those that you are most passionate about. What you continue with should only matter to you.
